Hope For Youth

Hope For Youth is built on the unique principle that we transport youth to events regardless of where they live in the city or how many times they move. To carry out this task we need volunteers who can drive students to our programs. Transporting youth provides a unique opportunity to build relationships while spending time in the car.

About Hope For Youth

Location:

PO Box 573024, Houston, TX 77257, US

Mission Statement

Hope For Youth (in Houston) is committed to "presenting every youth complete in Christ" (Col. 1:28) by providing activities and programs designed for at-risk urban youth, and Christian adult volunteers who build relationships with the youth. All activities and programs are designed to offer salvation to the youth, opportunities for Christian growth, encouragement to become involved in a church, and hope and help in the areas of education, leadership development and racial reconciliation.

Description

Hope For Youth ministers to at-risk urban youth, ages 12 to 19. Many of the youth either live or have lived at Houston's Star of Hope homeless shelter. Others live in government or low rent apartments. Hope for Youth offers a variety of opportunities for youth, including: weekend activities, weekly group discipleship, and a week long bible school in the summer.
