Role Overview
As a Back-end Node.js and API Developer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the server-side logic and APIs that power MedPal AI. You will collaborate with our front-end developers, AI engineers, and healthcare experts to deliver a seamless and secure telehealth experience.
Key Responsibilities
- API Development: Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs that facilitate communication between the front-end, AI models, and EMR systems.
- Database Management: Implement and manage databases, ensuring secure and efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Integration: Integrate third-party services, APIs, and EMR systems to enhance the functionality of MedPal AI.
- Optimization: Optimize server-side processes for performance and scalability.
- Security: Implement security best practices to protect sensitive patient data and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, AI engineers, and healthcare professionals, to develop and refine features.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of the back-end codebase, APIs, and integrations.
Qualifications
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Node.js and experience with Express.js or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
- Experience with database management (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and ORMs.
- Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs and services.
- Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Understanding of security practices, particularly in healthcare (e.g., HIPAA compliance).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
