We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful Director of Development and Fundraising to join our team. This volunteer position will lead the Foundation's fundraising efforts, develop comprehensive fundraising strategies, cultivate donor relationships, and secure the financial resources needed to support our mission and programs. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to support the organization’s mission and growth.Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government entities.

Lead all aspects of fundraising, including major gifts, planned giving, grants, corporate sponsorships, and special events.

Work closely with the grant writer to identify grant opportunities and oversee the preparation and submission of grant proposals.

Manage donor communications and engagement strategies, including donor recognition and stewardship programs.

Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to align fundraising efforts with strategic goals.

Develop and manage fundraising campaigns, appeals, and donor cultivation events.

Monitor fundraising performance metrics and provide regular reports to the executive team and board.Train and support staff and volunteers involved in fundraising activities.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in fundraising, development, or a related field, preferably within a nonprofit organization.

Strong understanding of fundraising principles and techniques, including donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Experience in writing grant proposals and managing donor databases.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment.
