Recruiting Organization: Austin Partners in Education

The Math Classroom Coaching (MCC) program brings volunteers into classrooms to help increase students' understanding of math and boost their academic self-confidence. Students benefit when working in small groups with a helpful, patient volunteer, and the more volunteers we have, the more students we can help!

• Volunteers work with a small group of students during math class once a week for 45 minutes. Other volunteers and the teacher are always present.
• Choose the class time that works best for you, with options determined by these 4 participating middle schools: Covington, Dobie, Martin, and Webb.
• Attend a 1 hour orientation session prior to your first meeting with the students.
• Teachers select activities for the students, and volunteers receive the lessons and answers in advance each week.
• All volunteers must complete a background check.
