The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support & research. Alzheimer’s disease is the 6 th leading cause of death in the United States, and almost two thirds of Americans with Alzheimer’s are women. Alzheimer’s is the only cause of death in the top 10 in America that cannot be prevented, cured, or slowed.
Will you volunteer to help us end Alzheimer’s?
Your support changes lives locally by enhancing care and support through education programs and support groups, advancing research as the largest private, nonprofit funder of Alzheimer’s research and advocating for change fighting for critical Alzheimer’s research, prevention and care initiations at the state and federal level.
The Des Moines WALK is Saturday September 28th in front of the State Capitol. Registration will begin at 8:00 am. T-Shirts will be provided at the event.
