This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Volunteer Services (VS) department. This is a 100% virtual (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. The NHQ:VS - Volunteer Mobilization - Volunteer Recruitment Team Member will support the Volunteer Mobilization Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Lead with recruitment strategies to fulfill professional level, skill-based volunteers for National Headquarters positions.
Responsibilities:
- Post positions on various external recruitment channels and professional organizations.
- Guide execution of the recruitment plans ensuring targeted, proactive recruitment for high priority positions.
- Support volunteer recruitment and talent acquisition with open positions in NHQ departments.
- Support leadership in the development of strategies for recruitment (e.g. marketing, resourcing channels)
- Other special projects as assigned

- Must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer for this role
- Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually
- Broad understanding of the American Red Cross and its opportunities for volunteer service
- Enthusiasm for Red Cross mission and programs
- Recruiting experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills with Microsoft software such as Teams, SharePoint, Outlook
- Familiarity with and comfortable using social media platforms
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Resume submission
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
