The Student Leadership Program Leader will be responsible for the successful planning, development, and execution of the Student Leadership Programs within EmpowerHer. This role involves mentoring students, facilitating leadership workshops, and coordinating various leadership initiatives. The Program Leader will work closely with students, mentors, and other program staff to ensure the programs meet their objectives and empower students to become effective leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development and Implementation:

    • Design and implement leadership workshops, seminars, and activities for students.
    • Develop curricula and materials that align with the goals of the Student Leadership Programs.
    • Coordinate and oversee the execution of leadership challenges, conferences, and events.
  • Mentorship and Guidance:

    • Provide one-on-one mentorship and support to students participating in the programs.
    • Facilitate the pairing of students with appropriate mentors and ensure productive mentorship relationships.
    • Conduct regular check-ins with students to monitor progress and provide personalized guidance.
  • Team Building and Leadership Training:

    • Lead team-building exercises and activities that foster collaboration and teamwork among students.
    • Teach and model effective leadership skills, including communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.
    • Guide students in organizing and leading their own community service projects and initiatives.
  • Event Coordination:

    • Plan and manage all aspects of leadership conferences, forums, and summits.
    • Coordinate logistics, speakers, and activities for leadership events.
    • Ensure events are executed smoothly and achieve their intended outcomes.
  • Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:

    • Assess the effectiveness of the leadership programs through feedback, surveys, and performance metrics.
    • Implement improvements based on student feedback and program evaluation.
    • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in leadership development.
  • Outreach and Community Engagement:

    • Promote the Student Leadership Programs to schools, community organizations, and potential participants.
    • Build and maintain relationships with schools, community partners, and other stakeholders.
    • Represent EmpowerHer at events and meetings related to student leadership.
  • Alumni Network and Support:

    • Develop and maintain an active alumni network for past program participants.
    • Organize advanced leadership opportunities and events for alumni.
    • Provide ongoing support and resources to alumni to continue their leadership journey.
