We are looking for dedicated volunteers to join us at Minnewaska State Park and help protect the ecosystem and wildlife habitat. As a Park Conservation Volunteer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty of the park by picking up litter along the trails near Lake Minnewaska, the visitor center lawn, the beach, parking lots, and other high-traffic areas.

Responsibilities:

• Walk along designated trails to pick up litter
• Keep the visitor center lawn, beach, and parking lots clean
• Work independently or with other volunteers
• Commit to volunteering at least 4 times per year
• Fill out New York State Parks Volunteer form for workers compensation coverage

Qualifications:

• Ability to work outdoors and walk along trails
• Strong commitment to volunteering
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

This is an amazing and fun volunteering opportunity for individuals, college students, high school students, or anyone who enjoys the outdoors. College students and high school students looking to earn service hours for school are encouraged to apply.

Volunteers can stop by Minnewaska State Park anytime to volunteer and can pick up free supplies from the Morgan Duke Conservation Society supply bin located at the visitor center.
