FAPL Book Sale
at Meadowbrook Rec Center

Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library will hold it's Spring book sale from March 23 thru March 30, 2020 at MeadowbrookRec Center1400 East Dugan St. In Arlington Tx, 76010. We need volunteers to assist with this sale starting Monday, March 23 thru Monday, March 30.Monday, March 23 8 am to 5 pm,and Tuesday March 24, 8 am to 5 pm setting up for the sale. We need people to assist with setting up tables, moving books to the tables, and putting the books out onto the tables for the sale.We may also need last minute set up on Wednesday March 25, 8 am to 12 Pm. Beginning March 25 sale is-2 P.M. until 7 pm.Sale continues Thursday March 26, from 2 pm to 7 pm, and continues Friday, March 27 ,from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday, March 28, from 9 am till 5 pm.Sale concludes March 29 , from 10 am to 4 pm. During the sale, we cashiers,and talliers, rovers to help keep the books properly displayed, and carriers to assist customers in moving the purchased books to their cars. Monday,March 30, from 8 am till noon, we need volunteers to pack the unsold books back into boxes, and get them ready for the remainder buyer, and to move tables, boxes and equipment back to the warehouse.

The Friends of the Arlington Public Library is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting the Arlington Public Library System. Funds are raised for special library purposes and programs through semi-annual book sales and book and author luncheons. Since its organization in 1987, the Friends fund raising efforts have resulted in more than $450,000 in gifts for the library system

Description

Friends of the Arlington Public Library is a non profit group that holds bi-annual book sales, and sells books on the internet to financialy support the Arlington Public Library. We recieve the no- longer in circulation books from the library, plus book donations from the public for the contents of these sales.Arlington has a large public library system, and we have a need for volunteers to assist with all the tasks involved with the sorting, storage, moving, set up and take down, as well as the sale itself.
