To provide essential groceries and support to our neighbors at risk of hunger through a collaboration of local churches and the broader community.
The Glen House Food Pantry is an ecumenical endeavor of more than a dozen Glen Ellyn churches collaborating with the community and "making hunger history". We serve everyone who lives, works, or attends school in DuPage County. Glen House Food Pantry is a registered 501(c)(3) organization 100% privately funded through donations and grants. We have a Platinum rating on Candid (formerly GuideStar), its newest and highest level of recognition. Remarkably, 93 cents of every dollar goes directly to client services. We operate a budget that maintains only a 7% overhead, compared to 25% average spent by other nonprofits. Our work is possible thanks to a dedicated staff, more than 400 volunteers, an active board of directors and partners in the community.
