We seek an English Language teacher for our leadership and community management training course from September to the end of November. The candidate must be an expert English communicator and have experience teaching English as a second language. The candidate must also be willing to teach three hours per day, five days per week, and hang out with the students in the evenings for conversation and community building.
Our students, aged 18-24, have graduated from our human rights, democracy, and rule of law training program. They are all refugees living in the nearby refugee camp or IDPs from Karenni State, Myanmar. They come to live onsite with us, just outside the camp, for six months. We seek to improve their English language skills to give them more opportunities in the future while they complete their course with local trainers.
Located just outside the beautiful town of Mae Hong Son, Thailand, about 6 hours north of Chiang, we provide a private room with a mattress, bedding, a mosquito net, and a fan, three rice-based meals per day, and a shared bathroom with a bucket-flush toilet and bucket shower. Just so you know, the living conditions are basic.
We can pick you up in Mae Hong Son from the bus station or the airport and transport you to the school, which is approximately 30 minutes from the town and an easy walk from the small town of Ban Nai Soi. We are committed to making your transition as smooth as possible.
