FAPL Book Sale
at Meadowbrook Rec Center

At the Friends of the Arlington Public Library Warehouse, we recieve books from the Arlington Public library, and public donations, and process and store these books for our semi-annual book sales. The Warehouse is always looking for additional staff to assist with sorting of books into catagories from the sorting table, and moving the boxes from the sorting area to the back of the warehouse. Sorting takes place at the warehouse, 2205 Division St unit G-4 Arlington Tx, every Thursday from 9am-12pm

Mission Statement

The Friends of the Arlington Public Library is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting the Arlington Public Library System. Funds are raised for special library purposes and programs through semi-annual book sales and book and author luncheons. Since its organization in 1987, the Friends fund raising efforts have resulted in more than $450,000 in gifts for the library system

Description

Friends of the Arlington Public Library is a non profit group that holds bi-annual book sales, and sells books on the internet to financialy support the Arlington Public Library. We recieve the no- longer in circulation books from the library, plus book donations from the public for the contents of these sales.Arlington has a large public library system, and we have a need for volunteers to assist with all the tasks involved with the sorting, storage, moving, set up and take down, as well as the sale itself.
