The Real Public Defender is looking for a Community Organizer passionate about political free expression and democracy.
A community organizer’s Duties and Responsibilities include:
· Networking with and mobilization of the community to support a cause.
· Develops programs or initiates positive social impact.
· Working with government, churches, nonprofit organizations, health organizations, social services agencies, and more
· Engaging in the mobilization of people, organizations, and groups to address social issues.
· Building relationships with community members, understanding their needs, and developing plans for collective action
· Assisting the community in clarifying problems, articulation of needs, and exploring resolution strategies
