Rheumatology for All, rheumatologyforall.org, is a nonprofit whose mission is to increase access to rheumatology care in resource limited areas. We have developed a virtual online course for physicians in training in Rwanda. We are currently using Canvas but would like to transition to Moodle. We need someone who could help us with instructional design. Currently, we give a weekly lecture and leave instructional material on Canvas. We would like a more interactive system and one where we can monitor usage by the learners. The course currently runs for sixteen weeks and has about fifty learners. This will be our fifth year and we anticipate expanding into other countries (for now in Africa). The course is schduled to start in January but it takes several months to develop, so we would like to start now on creating the course.

Mission Statement

Mission and Goals RHEUMATOLOGY FOR ALL" is a non-profit organization formed in 2016 by an international group of rheumatologists to increase access to rheumatology care in resource limited areas. Our first project was to sponsor two local Ethiopian physicians for a fellowship in rheumatology in South Africa. They have returned to Ethiopia and are seeing patients and teaching rheumatology to the local medical community. We would like to continue to sponsor local physicians for specialty training in Ethiopia as well as other resource limited areas. We have also developed virtual educational programs for physicians in training in Rwanda and Ethiopia, which we are planning to expand.

Description

Our organization is a group of international rheumatologists including members from Africa, the United States and Canada. We are all academic rheumatologists.
