Position Summary:
The Program Manager for SafeWater Anti-Drowning Programs will oversee the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs aimed at preventing drowning incidents and promoting water safety. The Program Manager will lead initiatives, coordinate with partners, and ensure that the programs achieve their intended impact within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development and Management:
- Design and develop comprehensive anti-drowning programs tailored to various target groups, including children, parents, educators, and community members.
- Oversee the implementation of programs, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Develop and maintain program materials, including curriculum, training guides, and outreach materials.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, using data-driven approaches to refine and improve outcomes.
Partnership and Collaboration:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including schools, community organizations, local governments, and water safety experts.
- Collaborate with partners to expand the reach and impact of anti-drowning programs.
- Represent SafeWater in meetings, conferences, and community events, advocating for water safety and drowning prevention.
Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Lead and manage program staff, volunteers, and interns involved in anti-drowning initiatives.
- Provide training, support, and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Coordinate with other departments within SafeWater to align program efforts with organizational goals.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage the budget for anti-drowning programs, ensuring responsible use of resources.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, donations, and sponsorships, to support program sustainability.
- Oversee the procurement and management of materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for program delivery.
Communication and Reporting:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to raise awareness about water safety and anti-drowning programs.
- Prepare and present regular reports on program progress, challenges, and successes to the Executive Director and board of directors.
- Manage program-related communications, including social media, newsletters, and press releases.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that all anti-drowning programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
- Regularly review and update program protocols to align with best practices in water safety.
