Las Trampas is a non-profit organization that support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). For over 60 years, we have been a provider of choice delivering much needed services and programs to adults with developmental disabilities, including Autism, IDD, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other similar conditions. Founded in 1958 as a non-profit residential school by parents, family, and community members, our philosophy has always been that persons with developmental disabilities are entitled to develop their optimum state of social, physical, and mental well-being, and share an integrated lifestyle similar to what non-disabled persons are fortunate to enjoy. Currently, Las Trampas provides day program educational and vocational services, residential services, supported and independent living services throughout Contra Costa County.

Role Description:
As a Board member, we are looking for candidates who will focus on our IT infrastructure as it relates to cyber security, Assistive Technology and search engine optimization (SEO) best practices. You will play a critical role on our leadership team to secure the technology resources needed to advance our mission. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in technology, a passion for philanthropy and a commitment to making a meaningful impact when it comes to giving back to the community.
Desired Qualifications:
The Las Trampas Board is looking for candidates with IT backgrounds experienced with:
- Digital delivery and cyber security.
- Advising IT personnel on best practices on cyber-security related projects with a diverse scope over multiple environments
- Cyber-related tools for auditing, compliance verification, vulnerability testing, and continuous system monitoring.
- Prioritization of investments in technology.
- Assisting staff with SEO strategies, keyword research, on-page optimization, link growth strategy, technical analysis, competitive analysis, and reporting.
- Planning and prioritizing SEO campaigns across multiple domains with content marketing, development, and PR as it pertains to our fundraising efforts.
- Advising staff on Assistive Technology to meet the mobility objectives of our participants and their families, and play a pivotal role in improving the quality of life of the individuals we serve by providing mobility, independence and positioning.
- Training staff on specific assistive technology devices.
- Building consensus among diverse individuals.
