Organization: One Bread Foundation, Inc. - Nationwide NGO Combating Human Trafficking
Time Commitment: 1.5 hours minimum per week
Location: Fully remote, San Francisco Bay Area-based organization with nationwide team
Overview:
We are in the fight to End Human Trafficking in our country, One Bread Foundation, Inc. exists for the sole purpose of making grants for the Rehabilitation of Children and Teens rescued from Sex Trafficking nationwide.
The Role:
The Volunteer Recruiter will play a crucial role in ensuring that One Bread Foundation's volunteer programs are staffed with dedicated and passionate individuals. This position is ideal for gaining practical work experience in recruitment and building a strong employment reference.
Responsibilities:
- Outreach and Engagement: Develop and execute strategies to attract potential volunteers through various channels, including social media, community events, and partnerships with local organizations
- Screening and Selection: Review volunteer applications, conduct initial screenings, and coordinate interviews to assess candidates' suitability for specific roles within the foundation
- Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with prospective volunteers, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience throughout the recruitment process
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator and Community Outreach Team to align recruitment efforts with the foundation's needs and upcoming events
- Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of volunteer applications, interviews, and placements using the foundation's volunteer management system
Qualifications:
- Experience in recruitment, volunteer coordination, or community outreach is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of CRM systems and other database management tools for tracking candidate and volunteer information
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with volunteers, team members, and community partners
- Ability to analyze recruitment metrics and provide recommendations for improving the recruitment process
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Time Commitment:
- Minimum 90-minute commitment weekly (typically 2-5 hours). We ask for a 2-year commitment
- Includes one-on-ones and team meetings
