Moderation Management provides a nonjudgmental, compassionate support community for anyone who wants to change their relationship with alcohol. Our community is one of equals, as we each find our own steps on our journey of exploration and transformation.

Fundraising Team (FT) members work together to create and implement fundraising activities for MM. These events are exclusively online and are almost exclusively targeted toward MM members rather than the public at large, though with time and effort we hope to change this. The funds raised are the bulk of MM’s income, so MM would not exist without these fundraising efforts.

----

Tasks:

Collaborate with other FT members and Executive Team (ET) to regenerate and implement MM’s annual Fundraising Campaigns, which currently include:

  • Grateful Giving Campaign - November
  • Summer Solstice Monthly Donor Campaign - June
  • Moderation Mindset Annual Summit - TBD

Activities to support these campaigns include (but are not limited to):

  • Contributing to the creation promotional posts to distribute to Ops Team members, in a timely manner so that they can post to their own communities.
  • Coordinating with Marketing Team members to ensure fundraisers/events are being properly advertised.
  • Participating in planning activities to ensure the fundraising campaigns are effectively coordinated and executed. Help plan and execute monthly, virtual roundtables with clinicians (email clinicians, send calendar invites, etc.).
  • Write and post postings on MM's Facebook page.)
  • Use AirTable up to keep tasks up to date; training will be provided.
  • Track donations, send stickers, write thank yous to donors.
  • Report results of campaigns, solicit improvement ideas.

Create additional fundraisers.

---

Skills/Experience/Equipment:

  • Computer skills, including email, Google Drive, Facebook & Zoom
  • Ability to create inspiring appeals to members, with the help of the Marketing Committee
  • Graphic design; highly desirable but not essential (i.e. Canva)
  • Experience working on fundraising activities is an asset
  • An understanding of how MM works and communicates with members is an important attribute
  • Knowledge of donor management systems (i.e., Little Green Light) is a bonus; not required
  • Access to reliable phone, internet, and computer with updated software and app are required

---

Schedule:

  • Fundraising campaigns are currently in November and June/July, but could expand to other times of the year.
  • Expected time for creation, coordination, and meeting attendance is 10-15 hours per month, which may increase during busy campaign times.
  • Most work is accomplished individually, but there will be several hours of meeting time that needs to be coordinated with other team members for each campaign.
  • Attend Zoom Meetings as needed (approx bi-weekly, varies depending on campaign cycle).
  • Participate in Fundraising Planning activities (approx. bi-annually).

About MODERATION MANAGEMENT NETWORK INC

Location:

2885 Sanford Ave SW #36026, Grandville, MI 49418, US

Mission Statement

Moderation Managementâ„¢ is a nonprofit that provides a non-judgmental, compassionate peer-support community for anyone who wants to change their relationship with alcohol.

Description

Moderation Management was founded in 1994 to provide support to anyone wishing to develop a healthier and more balanced relationship with alcohol, whether that be through moderation or abstinence. We believe that peer-support is key to helping people set achievable goals for changing their drinking habits, and that moderation is possible with the right support system in place. MM's programs are not prescriptive or based on steps. Everyone is welcome to join our communities, regardless of their current situation or goals. We offer online meetings (and hope to restore in-person meetings in the future as well), an online Forum and Listserv, a private Facebook group, and our Kickstart program (moderationmonth.org) which provides a 30-day indoctrination to the tools and techniques used to pursue moderate drinking. We have a sub-community for those who have chosen abstinence as their path as well.
