Join our team as a Communication Partner and make a difference in the lives of stroke and brain injury survivors with aphasia. In this role, you'll work closely with our skilled Speech-Language Pathologists to assist in daily programs that facilitate communication and enhance the quality of life for our participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support stroke and brain injury survivors with aphasia in communication exercises and activities.
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing and facilitating daily communication programs.
- Help with key wording and other strategies to enhance communication efforts.
- Provide encouragement and foster a positive, supportive environment for participants.

- Interested in speech therapy or healthcare
- Looking to make a meaningful impact on individuals' lives
This is a wonderful opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of speech-language pathology while helping those with aphasia regain their communication skills.

Description
Through supported communication programs our volunteers assist HARC in providing wellness programs, advocacy and resources for people with Aphasia (loss of language due to a stroke or brain injury), their caregivers and the Greater Houston Medical Community.
