Purpose of the Position
Project C.U.R.E's Houston warehouse needs a volunteer with forklift experience or a volunteer comfortable operating heavy machinery in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Offer assistance to those who make deliveries.
Operate equipment in a safe manner .
Collaborates with warehouse departments in order to fulfill all inventory needs.
Assist with forklift maintenance like maintaining water levels in the battery and maintaining a charging schedule.
Maintain a clean and safe w ork environment at all times .
Report any injuries, accidents or potentially hazardous situations immediately to the supervisor .
Qualifications
Previous forklift experience is preferable .
Ability to lift 50-lb boxes is preferable.
This position requires certification, provided by Project C.U.R.E., which must be renewed every 3 years and includes annual audits ( in accordance with state law and OSHA standards).
