Nutrition Education Support Volunteer Position with Hebni Nutrition

Time: Tuesdays from 6pm - 7pm

Location: Varies

Tasks:

1 - Sign in Sheet

To ensure that everyone is being accounted for, we have sign in sheets that are completed as participants come in. With these sign in sheets, we complete multiple reporting requirements with this sign in sheet so its a very imortant step for our nutrition education classes.

2- Passing out Class Materials

for every nutrition education class we have multiple worksheets that we hand out to help communicate educational topics. Our nutrition class support volunteer would help pass out those materials.

3- Passing out Incentives

Our mission at hebni is to promote healty eating, a way that we complete this mission is to provide our participants with nutrition education and locally grown produce from our Fresh Stop Bus program. This leads to an increase their consumption of vegetables through out the week.

HEBNI'S Nutrition consultants is a community-based not-for-profit agency formed in 1995 to educate high-risk culturally diverse populations about nutrition services to prevent diet-related diseases. HEBNI's committed to reducing health discrepancies among high-risk minority populations by providing nutrition-related strategies to decrease, manage, and delay chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart diseases, cancer, obesity, and hypertension.
