Role Overview:
The Care Team Hospice is seeking volunteers to provide support to our patients and their families. As a hospice volunteer, you play a crucial role in providing comfort and compassion during a challenging time.
Responsibilities may include:
- Companionship: Reading books, playing music, playing cards, crafts, painting nails, going for walks, or attending facility events
- Support: Engaging in conversations, empathetic listening, offering comfort, or simply sitting quietly, providing a reassuring presence
- Caregiver Respite: Providing relief for family members and caregivers by staying with the patient, allowing them to take breaks, attend appointments, or tend to personal needs.
*Volunteers do not to perform medical treatment of any kind.*
Training and Support:
Receive training in hospice care principles and ongoing support from our team to ensure you feel prepared and confident in your role.
Time Commitment:
Flexible hours to fit your schedule, typically a couple of hours a week. You choose the times that work best for you!
Requirements:
- Background Check
- TB Test
- Must be at least 18

We are a hospice company looking for compassionate volunteers to spend about 1-2 hours a week with a patient in your area. Our patients simply need someone willing to listen, encourage and spend time with them. Truly, anyone with a heart for hospice patients can volunteer.
