Join Eileen & Callie's Place in making a difference for young women aged out of foster care by helping us organize a clothing drive for Celebrate 18!
Celebrate 18! is a special party designed to celebrate, honor and uplift young women aged and aging out of foster care by providing a phenomenal birthday party like no other. The young women spend the day shopping: clothes, shoes, and acessories; being pampered in the salon: with manicurist, hairstylists, and makeup artists; resources to support their journey and tons of gifts. The clothing drive is a crucial part of this celebration, ensuring that each participant recieves new clothes that boosts their confidence.
We are looking for dedicated volunteers to research and reach out to retail stores that might host the clothing drive. You'll identify which stores require corporate approval and document the application process for getting them involved.

Description
Eileen & Callie's Place was established for the primary purpose of supporting young ladies aged out of the foster care system. As mentors we commit to walk alongside them as they transition into adulthood, We host an annual birthday party for girls turning 18 that year (Celebrate 18!) realizing that many of the girls have never had a birthday party. It's a community event where the girls select new clothes, shoes, and accessories. Professional beauticians are on hand for hair-styling, makeup and manicures. The evening ends with a catered dinner and lots of birthday gifts. The secondary purpose of the party is to connect the girls with mentors. It is our goal to open a home that will be a safe and secure foundation to accommodate the transition
