A Forever Home Animal Rescue (AFHAR) is in need of dog loving volunteers who can help out with a variety tasks. If you have an hour or two (or more), we'd love to have you join our team!

  • Walk dogs. We have a nice walking path one block from the rescue!
  • We are getting dog agility equipment soon and we will be looking for volunteers to work with the dogs exercise their minds and bodies.
  • Give dogs baths.
  • Assist wtih adoption and fundraising events.
  • Stock and maintain small sales rack (leashes, collars, harnesses, dog clothes)
  • Transport dogs to and from vet appointments.
  • Yard work - Mowing grass, edging, blowing, trimming our one bush, and watering plants.

  • We are very flexible with volunteers' time. Any amount of time you can provide is welcomed. Even if you walk one dog, that's fabulous! That's one happy dog!!! Those interested in helping out can volunteer anytime between 8am - 8pm.
  • A volunteer application and waiver must be completed on the first day of volunteering.
