Fridays 12:00pm-4:00pm

Upon arrival, check in with the department manager or immediate supervisor. Monitor ED door for family and friends visiting patients. Greet them. Make sure they are wearing masks upon entry. Show them where to stand as a visitor or a patient. If a patient take printed labels and put in bracelets. Ask patient if they have any allergies. If they do put on red band and name bracelet. If they have a restricted extremity put flesh colored band on them. If they are allergic to latex put a green band on them. Ask if patient is a veteran. If they are put a red,white and blue band on them. If they are a visitor ask them who they are there to visit with and take them to that room. If not on board tell them they might come on it in 10-15 minutes. Ask them to have a seat until you can find them. Ensure the board says they can have visitor. Also ask the nurse about visitors. Offer to assist and get wheelchair for people when they come to the ED door. Tell people that park in front of ED door that they have to move if they stay to long. Assisting family members.
