Do you and your certified therapy dog love bringing smiles and comfort to others? We’re looking for friendly, outgoing therapy dog teams to join our PIT PAWS program and help make traveling a more joyful experience for passengers.
PIT PAWS - PUPS Alleviating Worry and Stress - is Pittsburgh
International Airport’s Volunteer Therapy Dog Program.

- Promote the airport and PIT PAWS program
Requirements:
- Certified therapy dog teams (must be registered through Alliance of Therapy Dogs)
- Pups must be friendly, approachable, and love meeting new people
- Available to commit to twice per month.

To help relieve the stress and enhance the traveling experience for international visitors to Pittsburgh, members of the U.S. Military and their families, and any traveler or guest who needs assistance.
Description
Pittsburgh International Airport Ambassadors are volunteers from the community who donate their time to provide courteous and friendly assistance and provide a warm welcome to visitors. Ambassadors can make things simple in a busy airport. Ambassadors are what Pittsburgh and Southwestern Pennsylvania are all about.
- Meet and greet passengers and visitors
- Help passengers and visitors by directing them to the appropriate personnel
- Answer questions and provide information about Pittsburgh and Southwestern Pennsylvania
- Serve as translators in special circumstances
- Assist travelers with special needs
