HELP OUT: San Diego Family Halloween Fun Fest
ORGANIZATION: Special Needs Resource Foundation of San Diego
Please visit the new page to apply.
This is a super fun, free Halloween-themed event that's open to families from all over San Diego County hosted San Diego Family Magazine. Last year they had 1,600 people in attendance! As a volunteer, you will be part of the team that is responsible for providing a fun and safe environment for all of the guests. For some families, this might be the only chance they have to put on their costumes and experience the excitement and thrill of the season. As a small but dedicated staff, volunteers are the backbone of thei events and they truly couldn't do it without them.
Volunteers will help with setting up Halloween-themed activity and craft stations before the event, running activity, craft booths and raffle stations during the event, and helping with event break down. Volunteers are encouraged to dress up in family-friendly Halloween costumes or attire to get in the spooky spirit.
This event provides the Special Needs Resource Foundation of San Diego (SNRFSD) an opportunity to engage with the broader San Diego community, raising awareness and fostering relationships with families who may benefit from their resources. Although the event is free, the SNRFSD often receives donations and support from attendees who learn about their work during the event. This financial support directly benefits their organization and helps them continue to offer their vital services to families in need.

Description
We put on free community events for families with children with special needs. We need volunteers at these events to help us set up, take down and run activity booths during the event. During the event volunteers will help kids do crafts and activities. These events are all inclusive so everyone is welcome to attend. The events are usually 2-3 hours and we have a DJ so they are really fun to help with.
