Please join me in sharing great experiences with amazing people. I’m Natalie Stevenson, a breast cancer survivor and the founder of Cancer Community Clubhouse. Cancer touches everyone. The National Cancer Institute reports that 4 of every 10 people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime. Because people spend so much time and money on cancer treatment, many fail to prioritize long-term health and wellness. Programs like CCC’s meditation, relaxation, mindfulness-based stress reduction, Qigong, yoga, and artistic experiences improve the quality of life and survival rates of people living with cancer and of their loved ones and caregivers. Support groups, social connection, and engaging workshops at the Clubhouse help combat the higher mortality risk. attributed to loneliness and depression. As one Clubhouse member describes, "You see people who have been where you are, and it gives you hope to keep going."
