Volunteers are needed to help older and disabled adults living in their own homes to get to medical appointments and other errands, and with grocery shopping, household tasks and repairs, respite, yard work and friendly visiting. Volunteers are assigned in communities throughout Cass County, MN, in the areas of their interest. Volunteers receive a brief orientation, criminal background check, volunteer excess accident and liability insurance, mileage reimbursement and the satisfaction of hands-on experience of helping someone else.

Description
Faith in Action is a local collaborative effort among faith communities, community agencies, donors and individuals with gifts of service, to provide non-medical, neighborly assistance to older adults, adults with disabilities, and others experiencing difficult circumstances. Our volunteers help others with transportation to medical appointments and errands, friendly visiting, household tasks and repairs, respite and caregiver support, ramps, meal delivery and more. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization located in Hackensack, MN and serving people in need throughout Cass County. There are no charges for services; donations are accepted with gratitude. Income does not determine eligibility, yet we strive to assist those who lack other resources.
