As a Grant Writer Volunteer, you will play a vital role in securing funding for the organization by researching grant opportunities, writing compelling proposals, and assisting in the management of the grant application process. Your work will directly support the organization's mission and help sustain and grow its programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Research: Identify and research potential grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and other funding sources that align with the organization’s mission and programs.
Proposal Writing: Draft, revise, and finalize grant proposals, including narrative descriptions, budgets, and supporting documentation, ensuring that each proposal meets the specific requirements of the funding source.
Collaboration: Work closely with the organization’s staff to gather relevant information, such as program details, outcomes, budgets, and any necessary data to support grant proposals.
Grant Management: Assist in tracking grant submissions, deadlines, and reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submission of proposals and reports.
Documentation: Maintain organized records of all grant applications, correspondences, and outcomes for future reference and reporting.
Donor Communication: Assist in writing thank-you letters, updates, and reports to grant funders, highlighting the impact of their contributions.
Continuous Learning: Stay informed about trends and best practices in grant writing and fundraising to improve the effectiveness of proposals and increase the chances of securing funding.

Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
Strong research skills, with the ability to identify and analyze potential funding sources.
