Seeking a female mentor for a college bound 12th grader who lives in the Braintree/Hingham area. "Liz" is a first generation college bound high school student who is hoping to pursue a medical-related undergrad degree. A College Mentor will help usher her through all aspects of the college admissions and matriculation process, under the guidance of a professional college counselor. Tasks to include helping "Liz" explore different programs and career paths, visiting local college campuses, assisting with essay writing and college applications, and helping her with time management and keeping track of deadlines. This mentoring relationship will require a two year commitment - through the student's first year of college - with in person meetings twice a month and the occasional zoom meeting with the admissions consultant. Looking for a college-educated, female mentor who is patient, supportive, and respectful. Match support is provided through a LICSW.
