Veteran Volunteers Needed!
ORGANIZATION: Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care
Please visit the new page to apply.
Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care is recruiting Veteran-to-Veteran Hospice Volunteers!
We Honor Veterans empowers end-of life care partners to meet the unique needs of America's Veterans and their families.
We're looking for Veterans to join our dedicated hospice team as volunteers. Although every individual is unique, Veterans as a group tend to have special end-of-life needs. Many have experienced illness, isolation or trauma as a result of their service. Some never received recongition after returning home. The bond shared between Vet-to-Vet volunteers and hospice patients dissolves the barriers of stoicism and secrecy that are part of their cultured bond. We need you to help make a difference.
Call or email me now for more information on our opportunities.

Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, spiritual and practical care for people in the last phases of a life-limiting illness, with an emphasis on management of pain and other symptoms. The program is reflective of a spirit and idea of caring that emphasizes comfort and dignity for the dying, making it possible for them to remain independent for as long as possible, and in familiar surroundings. Hospice care is centered on both the patient and family/caregiver, lifestyle, values and wishes.
Utilizing an interdisciplinary group approach of physicians, nurses and social workers, hospice aides, volunteers, spiritual counselors, bereavement counselors and others.
