Do you want to make a real difference in a youngster's life? Then sign up to be a Big Brother or Big Sister in Mercer County, NJ. We need caring adults, 18 and older, who can spend one-to-one time with a Little Brother or Little Sister. You can do ordinary everyday things like go to the library, take a walk, have a soda together, play ball or visit a museum. Help a child gain confidence, purpose and get a better start in life. The good you do--and feel--will far outweigh what you contribute.

About Big Brothers Big Sisters Mercer County
535 East Franklin Street, Trenton, NJ 08610, US
Our mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
Volunteers (Bigs) cultivate relationships that provide children with skills to manage every day challenges. Through simple friendship, Bigs experience the joy of helping children discover a world of possibilities and opportunities.
TRADITIONAL COMMUNITY-BASED :
Bigs provide Littles with one-to-one time and attention in their communities, typically four hours or more per month. During these unstructured outings, Bigs provide opportunities for Littles to enjoy the companionship of a caring adult outside of the home and school in various community, sporting, cultural, and educational activities.
COUPLES MATCH :
This is just like a "Traditional Community-Based Match" except a child is matched with a couple.
School-based mentoring is a way for busy individuals to volunteer and for companies to give back to the community. In the school-based program, companies typically allow their employees to volunteer one hour of their work week during the academic school year, by providing Littles with one-to-one time and attention in their school.
We'll work with your schedule.
