Gift of Hope Community Foundation's 5K Run, Walk & Roll, provides an opportunity to gather with our community of donor families, transplant recipients, healthcare partners, vendors and friends to create awareness of the need for donor registrations to help save and enhance more lives. That’s why your participation as a volunteer is so important.
Supervise our activity stations including pin exchanges, the circle of life ribbon wall, and thank you notes. Cheer on our runners and walkers with pompoms, cowbells and boomsticks (we will provide). Walk the event site to help participants register as organ & tissue donors.

Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network is proud to serve as the not-for-profit organ procurement organization (OPO) that coordinates organ and tissue donation and services to families of donors in the northern three-quarters of Illinois and northwest Indiana.
Since our inception in 1986, we have coordinated donations that have saved the lives of more than 26,000 organ transplant recipients and improved the lives of hundreds of thousands of tissue transplant recipients. As one of 56 organ procurement organizations that make up the nation’s organ donation system, we work with more than 180 hospitals in our donation service area.
The decision to become an organ and tissue donor offers a precious gift to others: the hope for a new life.
