To unlock full potentials of children with disabilities by enabling them to access inclusive education, health care, protection and equal opportunities through advocating for their rights and empowering their parents as well as caretakers.
Description
Sound of Silence Africa Initiative is a not for profit organization founded in 2019 to advocate and empower children with disabilities in our communities. Our goal is anchored in creating an inclusive society where children with disabilities are empowered, nurtured and supported to reach their full potential.
SOSAI is deeply rooted at being the voice of voiceless and sound of silence so our programs are as follows; Resilience and Nutrition Program which seeks to provide good feeding and empower families of children with disabilities through different livelihood programs; Community Inclusion where we advocate for good and well being of our communities; Inclusive Education program where we ensure children with disabilities get good quality education through sponsorship and provisions of support; Sign Language for All programs to provide sign language training to communities to bridge communication.
All our programs follow the thematic areas of Health Education Advocacy and Rehabilitation which is summarized as HEAR.
Our achievements includes success of the 2k PROJECT where we mobilize resources through local donations and do homely visits to homes of children with disabilities.
