To bring diverse communities in San Antonio together for social welfare by providing education, relief, and support services to low-income communities.

Description

Through educational events, the provision of basic necessities and support services, and other charitable activities that are in accordance with the exempt purposes described under Section 501(c) (3) of the IRC, Resources United aims to foster a unified identity and improve the well-being of all residents in San Antonio, Texas.

  • The Resources United Tutoring Academy (RUTA) was the first service established by RU to provide free personal tutoring for low-income K-8 children.
  • Resources United aims to continue to develop services such as RUTA in other districts of San Antonio to increase their scope of aid and to promote volunteership amongst community members across the city.
  • RU provides a variety of volunteering opportunities across San Antonio districts, such as:
    • Tutoring at RUTA
    • Care Packaging events
    • Habitat for Humanity
    • 5K Challenges
    • Back to School events
    • San Antonio Food Bank
    • El Bari Charity Clinic Annual Health Fair
    • Community Clean-up Campaigns
