Hospice Administrative Volunteers Make a Difference!
The Hospice Administrative Volunteer provides support to Care Center staff through assistance with both day-to-day office responsibilities AND special projects. This may include things such as:
-Answering telephones, filing, making copies, data entry and scanning/ uploading documents into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
-Assisting with compiling and mailing bereavement letters, sympathy cards and/ or assist in the planning for the annual Memorial Service (Celebration of Life).
-Assisting care centers with events and/or mailings for veterans.
-S/he might also assist with making Tuck-In calls to patients, families and caregivers to ensure that they have the necessary supplies and medications prior to the weekend.

Beacon Hospice provides the best end-of-life care to terminally ill patients. The Hospice philosophy recognizes that every person approaching death deserves to die with dignity, respect, free of pain and in an environment that promotes quality of life. We provide support and care for persons in the last phases of life so that they may live as fully and as comfortably as possible. Hospice recognizes dying as part of the normal process of living and focuses on maintaining that quality. We provide physical, social, spiritual and emotional care during the last stages of life. We provide this care to all patients and ther families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in both home and facility settings.
