Become a CSB Navigator - help people get from point A to point B while guiding them towards all the services we offer.

The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) is seeking Spanish speaking volunteers to help in our Behavioral Health Outpatient Program (BHOP). Help open the doors to opportunity and access to CSB services.

The volunteer in this role would assist with follow-up and outreach to Spanish speaking clients to explain services and help connect them with available resources and behavioral health services.

Flexible hours during the daytime (M-F) with available hours until 7pm on Thursdays.

To be successful in this role you must be a:

Team Player - Ability to work well with a diverse staff; comfortable and respectful working with people from all walks of life

Customer Service Wiz - Capable of clearly communicating information, interacting with staff and guests, responding and resolving inquiries

People Person: Well spoken, enthusiastic, friendly and confident when engaging with staff and guests

Skills and Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years or older to apply for an opportunity.
• Be able to speak and write fluently in Spanish and willing to learn how to translate behavioral health terminology to individuals in need of our services.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.) and able to learn database systems quickly
• Clinical experience/interest helpful but not required.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be able to clear all background checks and health screenings.
• Be able to attend/complete all required trainings for the selected role.
• Be able to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Be friendly, dependable and punctual.
• This is an unpaid position.
