Help our struggling readers get the special attention they need during their morning or afternoon class! We need extra ears to listen to sound practice, extra eyes to keep everyone on track, and extra kindness to reassure children that they are loved and valuable.
This volunteer position requires some training and a commitment to attend at least one day a week.

We can promise you at least one hilarious incident a day, a chance to make a real difference for children, coworkers who really know what they are doing, and a beautiful view from the hills overlooking Kailua and the Ko'olaus. Please join us!

About NA LIMA KAHIAU

Location:

PO BOX 4741, KANEOHE, HI 96744, US

Mission Statement

To stand in the gap for those whose needs are unmet elsewhere.

Description

Kosasa Academy is a small alternative Christian school for students who have not been successful in regular school. Art is an important part of our curriculum. Our students tend to be the nice kids who cannot succeed because they learn differently or the quirky kids who mean well but do not fit in with their classmates. We are not a school for students with substance abuse or violent behavior. Extensive training and support are provided to new hires.

Our faculty is wonderful. They are smart, funny, knowledgable, collaborative, sincerely committed to their students and supportive of each other. School decisions are often made by consensus and everyone is heard. When we say we are a team, we really mean it. Join us!
