We need 20 volunteers to help with rejuvenating the L.A. Works office.
Why: This opportunity is to help refresh the L.A. Works office. We are looking at giving the walls a fresh coat of paint, relocating some furniture, and reorganizing the office to get L.A. Works ready for a great fall season of volunteer organizing.
Who: L.A. Works is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, volunteer action center that creates and implements hands-on community service projects throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
What to Expect: Volunteers may assist with the following aspects of this project:
We will be clearing out the L.A. Works office's front office and conference table area and painting it.
The Project will require moving some heavy shelves away from the walls and any artwork or posters.
Once the walls are cleared, we will prep the walls for painting by washing, sanding, filling, and damages or cracks.
Finally we will paint both rooms taking our time to ensure we are detailed oriented.
What's Required:
This opportunity is open to volunteers with any amount of time to serve between 11 am - 4 pm.
Volunteers must be at least 15 years old to participate and volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
