About Us:
Symptone is a student-led nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the understanding and diagnosis of medical conditions on darker skin tones. Our mission is to ensure that all individuals, regardless of skin color, receive accurate and timely medical care by advocating for greater representation of diverse skin tones in medical education and healthcare.
Position Overview:
We are looking for passionate and motivated students to join our team as Student Ambassadors. This role is perfect for high school, college, or graduate students who are eager to gain experience in nonprofit work, healthcare advocacy, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a representative of Symptone within your school or community.
- Raise awareness about our mission and initiatives through social media, school events, and other platforms.
- Organize and participate in educational workshops, webinars, and discussions related to healthcare equity.
- Assist in the recruitment of other volunteers and ambassadors.
- Provide feedback and insights to help shape our programs and outreach strategies.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in high school, college, or graduate school.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for healthcare equity and a commitment to Symptone's mission.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Social media savvy is a plus.
