Assist Face Painters during BCIE

ORGANIZATION: MARTIN LUTHER KING JR CENTER FOR NON VIOLENT SOCIAL CHANGE INC

During the Beloved Community International Expo, we will have face painters in the Kid's Corner. Volunteers will be needed to assist face painters and manage people that enter into the Kid's Corner.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for working with youth
  • Sensitivity to vulnerable populations
  • All volunteers must be willing to complete a background check

Attire:

  • Casual

  • The King Center - 449 Auburn Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30312
  • Free parking is available on the National Park Services parking lot, which is across the street from The King Center. The entrance is on John Wesley Dobbs Drive. The address is 413 John Wesley Dobbs, Atlanta GA 30312.

Description

Established in 1968 by Mrs. Coretta Scott King, The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change ("The King Center") has been a global destination, resource center and community institution for over a quarter century.The King Center is a 501(c)3. Nearly a million people each year make pilgrimage to the National Historic Site to learn, be inspired and pay their respects to Dr. King’s legacy.

The King Center is repositioning to meet the challenges and opportunities of today. Squarely-focused on serving as both a local and global resource, the King Center is dedicated to educating the world on the life, legacy and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., inspiring new generations to carry forward his unfinished work, strengthen causes and empower change-makers who are continuing his efforts today.
