Recruiting Organization: Salud Para Todos Caribe
**Our interns and long-term volunteers have the choice to be local or remote.
Salud Para Todos Caribe is a start-up grassroots organization on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. We've accomplished an incredible amount in the 1.5 years since our launch on very little funding and hundreds of hours of volunteer work. Now, it's time to grow, and we are looking for an intern or long-term volunteer to help.
We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to help with marketing and development-related activities and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals.
Tasks include (but are not limited to):
- Creation of materials such as volunteer handbooks, operations manuals, policies and procedures, etc
- Promotion and marketing of our global service learning experience
- Content Creation: Develop engaging and informative content for various marketing channels, including social media, newsletters, and the organization's website.
- Videography: creation of short promotional videos
- Corporate Sponsorships: Assist in researching potential corporate sponsors in Costa Rica and abroad and developing sponsorship proposals.
- Donor Management: Support donor management efforts by assisting in the creation of donor communication materials, acknowledgement letters, and updates. Help maintain accurate donor records and contribute to donor engagement strategies.
- Develop compelling fundraising materials, including emails, social media posts, and graphics, incorporating visual content and effective copywriting.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
All applicants require a marketing/communications related discipline or have some experience
working in the field.
Basic Requirements:
*Must be 18 years of age or older
*Provide proof of emergency health insurance while in Costa Rica (if working locally)
*The ability to follow directions with attention to detail
*Passion for and (ideally) knowledge of integrative and natural medicine modalities, traditional medicine and healing, and basic public health principles
*Spanish proficiency a plus!
WORK SCHEDULE
Flexible schedule to be determined individually
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM BENEFITS AND COSTS
● Hands-on experience in nonprofit grassroots development and marketing, photography and videography (if local), copywriting, SEO, corporate sponsorships, donor management, and more.
● Networking opportunities with professionals in the field of natural and integrative medicine and corporate
partnerships.
● Exposure to diverse aspects of non-profit operations.
● Certificate of completion and a letter of recommendation upon successful internship conclusion.
We are in the process of building our own community health center, and have been to date operating our services from the space of another local nonprofit, with our non direct service work done remotely. In early-mid 2025 we anticipate having volunteer housing available, but currently do not.
For that reason, our internships do NOT charge a daily or weekly rate for now
Our interns and long-term volunteers have the choice to be local or remote. If you plan to visit beautiful Puerto Viejo and work with us during this time of transition and construction of our clinic, we are happy to help you find great accommodations.
WANT TO APPLY?
If you would like to be a part of the SPTC team, please send your resume, cover letter, and (ideally) a portfolio showcasing some of your relevant work or projects to saludparatodoscaribe@gmail.com.
