Do you love Babies? Do you have a few extra hours a week to support a postnatal family? Join our community: Volunteer as a Postpartum Angel with Good Beginnings!
We need volunteers like you to help families navigate the joys and challenges of early parenthood, and to help families and babies feel connected to their community and their 'Village.'
What You'll Do:
Provide Emotional Support: Offer a listening ear and words of encouragement to new parents adjusting to their new roles.
Assist with Daily Tasks: Help with light household chores, meal preparation, or playing with older siblings to give new parents time to bond with their newborn.
Share Knowledge: Provide information on baby care, breastfeeding, and postpartum wellness, or connect families with local resources.
Be a Friendly Face: Visit families at home or through virtual check-ins to offer companionship and practical help.

Flexible Hours: Volunteer on your own schedule to visit the family each week for 2-3 hours for up to 12 weeks

Good Beginnings of Central Vermont provides ongoing home visits to families of new babies, brings a Welcome Bag of gifts, gives infant carrier demonstrations and provides carriers to parents at the manufacturer's wholesale cost.
