Special Olympics North Carolina is looking for volunteers to join our Games Management Team for our Fall Bocce Tournament that will be held at the UNCC Northeast Recreational Fields on November 22-23, 2024. This is a fun event for the athletes, their families, and community fans, and your help ensuring the day runs smoothly would be most appreciated.
Our Bocce Event Planning Team will need to organize logistics for Information Services, Meals, Media Relations, Results, Day-of-Event Volunteer Management, and Security. Our staff and existing management team will work with you to pair your skills with the needs of the event. No prior Special Olympics experience is necessary. We will schedule a call or meeting to discuss the opportunity with you further. Special Olympics NC Orientation and training can all be done online in advance of planning meetings that will start in June.
Time Commitment: Typically 10 hours per day for 1 or 2 days. Training and meetings in advance of the event are required as well.
If you're interested in volunteering for Special Olympics NC but this opportunity doesn't work for your schedule or skill set, no worries! To learn about the dozens of other events and volunteer opportunities with Special Olympics, join us in Charlotte on August 22, 2024 at Cakeable (6716 Ironkettle Rd.) or Cabo Fish Taco (3201 N. Davidson St.) and meet our Volunteer Leaders.
