Help others and have fun while doing it! The Brazilian Day Festival is hosted by the Devoted to Youth Foundation to raise money so they can support Brazilian Families in both San Diego and Brazil. The event features a large main stage for national and local headliners, beer/alcohol gardens, food, vendors, and a kids zone.
Volunteers will help the event run smoothly. Tasks will include: providing support at the entrance, guiding rideshare, helping with clean up, helping in the bar, setting up, breaking down, and more.
Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes
Attire: Comfortable clothing for hot weather. If you have Brazilian attire, then you're encouraged to wear it. This opportunity takes place outdoors with little or no shade so volunteers should wear sun protection such as sunscreen and a hat.
Bring: A jacket for when it cools down in the evening.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 40lbs. This project is able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations by providing role that can be accomplished while seated. The space where this project takes place is wheelchair accessible.
Waiver: Volunteers will be required to sign a waiver for Devoted to Youth when they arrive on site.

We host a lot of events at the Point Loma Farmers Market that we also manage. The market has a family-oriented bend, and because of this, we need volunteers to help us out with the extravagent kids area we have while also tending to our vendors and our needs for a smooth operation.
