Position Overview:
The Project Coordinator will manage and oversee specific projects and initiatives to ensure they are completed successfully, on time, and within budget. This role involves coordinating project activities, collaborating with team members and stakeholders, and providing support to ensure project goals align with the organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Develop and implement project plans, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Coordinate project activities, resources, and timelines to ensure successful execution.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to address challenges or changes.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, budgets, and schedules.
Team Coordination:
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.
- Schedule and lead project meetings, providing updates and addressing issues as they arise.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and track their progress.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community partners, donors, and volunteers.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders on project status and outcomes.
- Address inquiries and concerns from stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Assist in developing project budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
- Manage resources and materials needed for project activities.
- Identify and address any resource gaps or constraints.
Evaluation and Reporting:
- Evaluate project outcomes and impact, using data and feedback to assess success and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and submit project reports, including lessons learned and recommendations for future projects.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project coordination or management, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills:
- Associates Degree in Project Management, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
- Experience with fundraising or grant management.
- Familiarity with nonprofit operations and community engagement strategies.
