In this role, you’ll help to support our volunteer workforce in various ways. Projects and participation will be assigned to you according to your area of interest.
Some focus areas include working with our volunteers in:
Onboarding/placement, deployment, training, recognition and appreciation, leadership development, Volunteer Connection/profile management and/or engagement. Projects may include but are not limited to conducting volunteer interviews, updating profiles in Volunteer Connection, recognition, analyzing reports/data, scheduling volunteers.
You must:
Be available virtually AND in-person. When you first start, you’ll be in the office more frequently as you take 1x1 trainings and begin working with the team. As time goes on, you’ll transition to more virtual/hybrid work. You’ll need a reliable computer and internet access, and must be willing to use your personal computer and/or phone to do your assigned tasks while at home. Being computer savvy is a requirement in this role.
Candidates should:
· Be comfortable working with excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Microsoft office apps
· Be willing to work with people of all ages/backgrounds
· Have availability during the work week. Weekends are great too, but we need support during the week
· Follow and implement requests received from supervisor with little or no supervision
· Adapt to change, negotiate compromise and tolerate ambiguity
· Build effective relationships with others who can help with work related goals
· Be sensitive in human interactions to diversity inclusiveness
