Tabling Event Volunteer- (to cover Disaster Preparation and Recruitment)

Description:
Work on a team to host tables at events across the island. You’ll provide disaster preparation information and be well versed in our available volunteer needs so you can recruit from those that come to the table. You’ll pass out recruitment flyers and preparation checklists/STA sign-up sheets, and you’ll talk with people about their background, availability and interests to help to guide them towards the opportunities that would be the best fit for them. You may also assist them with immediate volunteer sign-up, OR, do follow up with them after the event to help them through the application and intake process.
Requirements:
- Must be 18+
- Have a reliable car and be willing to travel island-wide
- Must have some availability on Saturday mornings through early afternoon (approx. 8a-3pm)
- Willing to take training in recruitment (2.5hrs) and shadow someone at events, prior to doing it solo
- Must be comfortable speaking with strangers and engaging those you don’t know in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to pick up/Drop off supplies before and after events
- Must be available for a virtual team/planning meeting in the week prior to any event they’re hosting (approx. 30min)
