About
Founded by Janina Peter and Malish James, Bridging Gaps introduced a pay-it-forward community microloan model to address food security and poverty among refugees. By merging charity and microfinance, we empower entrepreneurs and create sustainable financial structures. Our digital platform secures donations from Europe and the global north, transforming them into microloans that ripple through the community. Unlike traditional repayable microloans, our model is based on a pay-it-forward approach. As businesses thrive, loans are passed on to new entrepreneurs in the same community, creating a sustainable ripple effect of new initiatives and, long-term, new independent financial structures. Donors receive continuous updates on the impactful stories of the entrepreneurs they support through our digital platform, fostering a sense of connection and engagement with the community. This innovative approach not only addresses immediate needs but also promotes lasting, self-sustaining initiatives. We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Volunteer Community Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and engage a vibrant community around our mission while developing your professional skills.
Responsibilities:
Foster strong relationships with Bridging Gaps community members, supporters, and partners.
Manage and moderate online platforms and social media channels to ensure a positive and inclusive environment.
Collaborate with other team members to create and share relevant content that resonates with our audience.
Work with our global community of Ambassadors and ensure their continued engagement.
Gather and analyze feedback from the community to inform future initiatives and improvements.
Monitor and report on community growth, engagement, and satisfaction.
Assist in the development of partnerships and collaborations to expand the community.
Requirements:
Proven experience in community management, social media management, or a related field.
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to convey ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Creativity and the ability to generate engaging content.
Proficiency in German is a plus.
High level of integrity and dependability.
Compensation:
No financial compensation
